On this perfect summer's day you have returned tto your favourite Bench of Dreams. Smiling, you stand to welcome the young person walking towards you . . . your younger self.

You have a relaxing favourite seat in Nature that is your Bench of Dreams. Today you are meeting for the first time someone who has been your inspiration. It is a warm spring day with the sun shining through the gentle breeze of the trees as you anticipate the arrival of this special person.

I learned that a bedraggled three-legged calico cat had recently arrived at the SPCA, about to have kittens, and been placed with a caring foster volunteer. Hello, I am Dorothy Blandford. It's said that Ireland is a land of stories and story-tellers. In my early days we would sit at the kitchen table, reading by oil lamp, or around the fireside, with the kettle ever on the boil, ready to make a pot of tea for family, friends or neighbours who dropped in.
